The ‘Horkenkids’ Kittlitz after-school care centre is a day-care centre run by the town of Löbau and is located in the countryside district of Kittlitz, not far from the Horken.
The building was opened in 1901 and was last partially modernised in 2022. The spacious building complex, consisting of two separate buildings with a connecting corridor, houses the primary school in the front building and the after-school care centre in the back building.
The facility can be attended by 214 girls and boys from 1st to 4th grade at Kittlitz primary school. The after-school children are supervised by state-recognised educators and are currently divided into ten after-school groups.
The after-school care centre's area covers the town of Löbau and the neighbouring districts.
