Löbau as a place of business

Große Kreisstadt Löbau, located in the middle of the economic region of Upper Lusatia and Lower Silesia, is a future-oriented industrial and commercial location.

It is a favourable starting point for the development of economic and cultural relations in the border triangle, the state capital Dresden and other regions such as southern Brandenburg. The deciding advantage of Löbau's location is its optimal location at the crossroads of all the important transport routes of East Saxony.

The borders with the Czech Republic and the Republic of Poland, as well as the cities of Bautzen, Görlitz and Zittau, are approximately 25 kilometres apart. Löbau railway station is located on the main line Dresden-Görlitz-Wroclaw. Dresden Airport can be reached by car in about 45 minutes. The four-lane expressway B 178 has now been largely extended and leads from Löbau quickly to the A4 highway.

Löbau is a medium-sized town in the district of Görlitz (Landkreis Görlitz) in the Free State of Saxony (Freistaat Sachsen) and has been called "Große Kreisstadt" since January 2000. It forms an administrative community with Großschweidnitz, Lawalde and Rosenbach (VWG).
