Mountain hike "On old paths and volcanic ground"

Content of the tour:

• Geology of the mountain and Upper Lusatia (on request with brochure or information material for a fee)
• The ring wall on the mountain, settlement of Upper Lusatia, archaeological retrospection up to the Bronze Age
• The Cast Iron Tower, a technical challenge more than 150 years ago then and today (with explanations of the construction)
• Legends and myths of the mountain and Upper Lusatia, with the background of their interpretation and meaning

A closely linked, well-developed system of cycle paths (separate cycle paths and roads with little traffic) invites you to explore the cycle-friendly Upper Lusatia's largest territorial city. The local hiking trail system is connected to the regional and extra-regional cycle trail system. The long-distance signposted cycle route "Saxon City Tour" ("Sächsische Städteroute") and the thematic cycle routes "Around the Löbauer Berg" ("Rund um den Löbauer Berg") and "Upper Lusatian Cities" ("Oberlausitzer Städte") as well as "Stadttour", "Altlöbautour", "Napoleontour" and "Kakteentour" allow you to explore Löbau by bike. The Tourist Information Office has a selection of cycle path maps and cycle tour offers for you.
