The Saxonian Card of Honor provides an attractive way of thanking volunteer citizens for their voluntary and unpaid work. Owners of the card receive benefits throughout Saxony, for example free or reduced admission to swimming pools, castles and museums. Since 2019, the district town of Löbau has also been involved in this outstanding project.
The Card is valid for three years at a time and can be applied for in the department Children, Youth, Clubs. The application contains basic information on the applicant and the applicant's voluntary commitment. In addition to the applicant's signature, the supporting organisation of the civic commitment confirms the application. Every person in Löbau who is at least 14 years old and has been active in voluntary work for at least one year can apply for the volunteer card. If the application is confirmed by the city of Löbau, the citizen will receive a personalised card with a short acknowledgement.
The Saxonian Card is currently valid from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2021. (4th edition). The following criteria must be fulfilled to apply for the Saxon Card:
